Post-Christmas Clearance Adventure!

I bought a lot of clothes on my birthday. Since then, they've all been laying on the ground because I ran out of hangers. SO, I rounded up Hannah and we went to buy some coat hangers at Target!

Well, I got my coat hangers (from TJ Maxx), but I also discovered Christmas clearance items! Not only will I save them for next year, but I plan to have a belated Christmas-themed birthday party when I return to school in a couple weeks.

Unrelated, but I deeply enjoyed this mug. Only $4!

Christmas clearance at Target - 90% off everything!
(purchased all of next year's decorations for $8.51!)

Santa burning off those cookies!

Assembled a highly accurate Nativity Scene for $8 from the Goodwill
(Little known fact: the Navajo Indians and a unicorn were present!)

And finally, I found this super sweet flask for $1!

Moral of this post:
Go get the residual Christmas junk while you can!

Who Else Knew...

Michael J. Fox was a big face for Japanese beer in the 90's?

He promoted f0r Kirin and Shimano - two of my favorites!

I can understand why Japanese people would love Michael J Fox. Back to the Future is an excellent movie. Not to mention, he just seems so darn friendly.

Let's Be Consistent 2010!

holiday!

Let's get one thing clear:
I love being on vacation from school.

While I miss all of my friends, it's been really nice to relax and spend some time at home.

Spontaneous trip to Bellingham - Sean and Ana reunited!

Celebrated Christmas with the family - Mom brought inflatables!

Next day was my 19th/22nd birthday - did shopping with Hannah for the sixth year in a row!

Celebrated a classy new years up on Capitol Hill!
Motto for the year: "Let's make good decisions 2010!"

Other than these exciting events, it's going to be a lot of alone time with me and my violin. Working at Starbucks a lot, i.e. babysitting needy customers. Going out with friends a lot.

I love holiday.

Let's make good decisions 2010!

Sorry it's been so long since I've updated this blog!

After my trip to Las Vegas, the idea of selecting photographs to share was very intimidating so I kind of gave up on the idea of this blog. HOWEVER, as part of my new years resolution, "Let's make good decisions 2010" I have decided that my first good decision will be to regularly post on this blog!

Let me try and get everyone back in the loop!

Exciting things that have happened in the past six months:

1. Started my undergrad at the University of Puget Sound!

2. Became a music major and stressed out a lot - sooo much music theory!
3. Realized that I hate music theory
4. No longer a music major!

5. Decided to double major in Politics & Government and History

6. Bought a $10,000 violin (c. 1931, Emile Pouzol)

7. Quit and went back to my job at Starbucks in the same year!

8. Ventured to Las Vegas with best friend and drank for ten days straight

9. Wore a lot of gay costumes (I'm the cowboy!)

10. Developed a deep love for unicorns

11. Procured an extensive collection of VHS tapes

12. Got swine flu :[

13. Turned 19 and 22 in the same year!

14. Bought a lovely new Nikon D3000

15. Went on a spontaneous, introspective adventure to Hollywood/Malibu!

16. Learned that Australians do, in fact, party quite hard.

17. Survived my first semester of university!

18. Said, "Fuck you 2009!" and left in style!

This list could go on for quite awhile, but I'll just leave it at that. More to come!

back in tacoma... for 7 hours!

sadly, my time in bellingham is over. woke up at 7am and drove back to tacoma so that i can pack and catch my flight to las vegas tonight. exciting poker night last night though! hopefully i didn't use up all my luck last night because i was running a candy monopoly by the end. the night culminated with me "losing" my keys and staying up until 1:30am with roadside assistance, only to later find my keys underneath a bag of razors on top of the microwave. anticlimactic, right? i was not happy, to say the least.

my day mostly consisted of this though---^
(actually, a wonderfully relaxing change of pace)

i smoked a terrible peach-flavored "cigar"

caitlin made a pizza, fancy.

alex was extra-fancy and smoked three cigars at once

we played our poke gamer with cow cards and gummy candies for chips!
apples=1, watermelons=2, peaches=4
(of course, ranked in value based on appearance and flavor)

things i need.

i have not yet mentioned my borderline unhealthy obsession with cute things, specifically clothing.

leaving for vegas tomorrow and need more sandals:
dolce & gabbanna seems like a solid choice, but i think i'll wait until i arrive before i make any hefty purchases.
dsquared is amazing - unfortunately these are $400
developing a new obsession with dsquared - these are on sale for $300 :[

i'll probably end up going budget - these ted baker sandals are only $100

anyways, regardless of my sandals it is going to be hot and exciting; over 100 degrees in vegas the entire week that i'm there! count on me finding many expensive things though.

4th of july

i also had a very exciting 4th of july. very last day of work at james center starbucks - so sad. then went to seattle and hung out at andrew's apartment on capitol hill. fireworks, guacamole, salsa, pbr, session, chips, cardigans, urban peeing, long walks, and fleetwood mac. exciting!

two beers? classy.

keep an eye out - cheesewedge feat. aaron. here's our album cover - taming the 80's hair rock image.

daniel is afraid of heights. we eventually lured him out.

ana and i.

delicious chips.
